Avid Media Composer v5 runs on a MacPro Quadcore 2.66 GHz workstation with 12GB RAM and dual NVIDIA GT120 videocards running three monitors, allowing full screen playback at all times.
The 6TB Sonnet Raid connects through a S-ATA controller to guarantee fast HD editing. As well two Avid MediaDrive 2+ docks are connected through an ATTO UL5D SCSI controller to the system.
Genelec 1029A and a digidesign Command|8 digital mixer are used for audio monitoring.
This Media Composer can run all HD and SD formats, including Red and ProRes.
For SD digitising and playout, the Avid Media Composer v12 MC1000XL with Meridian III breakout box with Sony Digital Betacam DVW-A500P continues to provide unsurpassed technical quality.
