Rodney Sewell is a film editor and filmmaker with 30 years' experience in film & television production.
Trained in Australia and based in Munich, he is equally at home in non-fiction and fiction editing. He has worked on international documentaries as well as German-language films and from feature films through to daily soaps. He is a capable storyteller and an experienced online editor.
Bilingual in English and German, he is a member of the German Society of Film Editors (BFS).
He edited the event documentary "Mogadischu", broadcast on Germany's ARD, seen by over 4 million people.
Rodney has produced and directed cultural and ecological documentaries shown on Arte, ZDF, BR, NHK Japan, ABC Australia and has directed numerous TV magazine items and a TV magazine series for BR.
He has researched films on Derek Jarman, Lorin Maazel, Claudio Abbado, Waltraud Meier and Gore Vidal. He co-wrote the narration for the award-winning international documentary "Terrible Lizards of Oz".
He lectures in post-production supervision at the Bavarian Academy of Televison and has taken part on panels in high-definition television and docutainment with Discovery Campus.
Since its premiere in Munich in Novmber 2006, Rodney's short film "41 Sekunden" has been invited to 56 festivals in 21 countries and been licensed for distribution in the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
